Hi, I'm Mitch Guerrero. I've spent more than a decade developing my craft as a sand sculptor and now work full time as a professional artist in Sarasota, Florida.
After a 23-year career as a senior website designer, I left the desk behind in 2023 to pursue art full time. Today I create commissioned sand sculptures, compete in sand sculpting events and teach visitors how to experience this unusual art form for themselves on Siesta Key Beach.
I'm a fourth-generation artist who also draws, paints and works in clay. My recent competition work includes a win at Imperial Beach, California, and I serve as a lead member of the S.W.A.T. team at Texas SandFest.

The Castle Doesn't Have to Disappear Forever
Sand sculpture is temporary by nature. That's part of what makes it special. The Forever Sand Castle was created to preserve selected sculptures as a physical keepsake.
Using a patented process involving photography, photogrammetry and 3D printing, a sculpture can be digitally captured and recreated in miniature. A touch of silica sand is then used in the finishing process to connect the replica back to the original beach creation.
The keepsake is optional and separate from the lesson — but for families who want more than photographs, it creates a unique reminder of what they built together.
